Hammad Hussain Shah

Hammad holds a B.A.-LL.B. degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)’s Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (Class of 2021), where he was also a Research Assistant with a focus on the development of Islamic Finance in Europe, Asia and the USA. His mooting credentials included 'Best Oralist' at the L’ecole National Moot Court Competition. He is licensed to practice as an Advocate of the lower courts and routinely appears before the civil and district courts. Prior to joining AHA, Hammad worked for a leading law chambers in Lahore. Hammad's focal practice at the chambers is as a key member of the litigation team, assisting senior counsel with research and drafting of constitutional, tax and commercial cases. He is presently part of the litigation team representing the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in high-value constitutional petitions before the Hon’ble High Courts and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan. He also assists with advising clients on compliance and regulatory matters. Hammad has volunteered for the Legal Aid Society (LAS) , where he mapped different support services available for the victims of gender-based violence in the districts of Punjab.
