Asma Hamid Associates Acted for FBR Before Supreme Court of Pakistan

Asma Hamid Associates acted for FBR before the Supreme Court to challenge the High Court’s grant of interim relief against super tax liability.

Through the Finance Act 2022, Parliament imposed a Super Tax on profits of wealthy corporations whose earnings exceeded Rs 150 million.  Through an interim order, the Lahore High Court stayed the imposition of this levy. Today, in petitions filed by FBR through Asma Hamid  Advocate,  the Supreme Court directed that 50% of the due liability be paid within 7 days.
