Asghar Leghari

Asghar holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Duke University, School of Law, USA, and BA-LLB degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
He graduated from Duke University School of Law with Latin honors, Cum Laude. He also received recognition from the Duke Law School Pro Bono Program and the North Carolina Bar Association for his work with the Environmental Law and Policy Clinic at Duke Law.

In his decade long experience, he has worked with Rizvi, Isa, Afridi & Angell (now RIAA Barker Gillette) and AJURIS, Advocates & Corporate Counsel. He started his legal career primarily as a transactional lawyer focusing on projects & infrastructure finance and private equity. He has substantial experience representing large institutional clients in contentious matters before the courts and administrative authorities in various areas of law including constitutional law, company law, administrative law, banking law, taxation, competition law and intellectual property .
The local and international clients that Asghar has advised and represented include Kohat Cement, Competition Commission of Pakistan, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, Virtual University, DataQ Health, Jugnu Tech, Salesflo, Janana De Malucho Textile Mills Limited, and Babri Cotton Mills Limited.
Asghar is currently serving on the board of the Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) as an independent director and as an adjunct faculty member at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
